What is ivGallery?

ivGallery stands for Interactive Virtual Gallery. It is a collaborative service of virtual photography and eCommerce developed jointly by ourselves and 3-8-tivity.

It is an as-real-as-we-could-make-it interactive virtual tour of a gallery or museum exhibition and is the culmination of the last 2-3 years R&D.

ivGallery is an on-line interactive virtual photographic tour of an exhibition. It has hotspots, so one can move around and experience the entire exhibition any time, any where, via the internet. What is new and innovative about ivGallery is that it has an invisible artwork/artefact hotspot overlay feature with real-time links to our web application and database. This basically means that while going through a virtual tour, one can click on any work of art (2- or 3-dimensional) or architectural model and it's “artwork resumé” will pop up. The artwork resumé displays details about the artist and the selected work, any supporting images, video, sound; and any web eCommerce functionality required. The whole of the artwork is clickable - regardless of size or shape - and the hotspot area is invisible until one hovers over it - so as not to detract from the work itself or the ivGallery experience as a whole.
