Art Galleries

Art galleries are ideal subjects for interactive 360˚ panoramas and virtual tours because, not only we can reproduce the interactive experience of wandering around them, we can add an extra interactive multi-media dimension of letting viewers examine individual works of art in greater detail and without the risk of setting off the security alarm!

Art galleries are often beautiful places in their own right, and the fact that they are filled with treasured artifacts and splendid works of art in many different mediums makes them particularly appealing to reproduce for a much wider audience.

Cork Street Open Exhibition. August 2009.

Our aspiration for interactive 3-8-tive 360˚ photography & design is to let viewers freely roam around the gallery, and to appreciate in greater detail some or all of the works - in whatever medium best represents them.

Many people cannot go to an exhibition because of distance or time constraints - but that is not to say they wouldn't like to. With interactive 360˚ panoramas and virtual tours they can - while on the train, at home, at work, in an internet cafe... Interactive 360˚ panoramas and virtual tours keep the gallery open 24 x 7 x 365 and opens it up to the whole planet! They are by far the best way to represent these beautiful places and artists' work - and thereby considerably increase the number of potential buyers (or just visitors, if it is a non-commercial exhibition).

Many people go to a gallery and later think that they would like to buy an item or two - but cannot quite visualise them. Small photographs in a brochure are okay but cannot do works of art justice - especially if they are large, sculpture, video, animations, or multi-media installations. If they cannot get back to the gallery the sale may be lost...
